More information as you get ready for the OPEN CUP SOCCER TOURNAMENT!

April 8, 2013
Dear Parents and Players,
We are soon approaching our departure date on Thursday the 11th for the Open Cup tournament in Alabama.
Please be at Tocumen Airport at 5 am on Thursday the 11th.   We will meet at the Delta Airline desk.  Please be on time.  Make sure to wear the team travel attire for the day, (white school uniform shirt, the Puma track suit, and sneakers.)  (The school sells uniform shirts, if you need to buy a white one.)
We have also noticed the soccer uniform shorts are somewhat see thru.  Please bring spandex undergarments to wear underneath!  This applies to both boys and girls.
We strongly suggest bringing a carry on backpack containing both of your uniforms, shin guards, socks, and one pair of cleats.  We would like all players to have both uniforms with them in a carry on. (If luggage were to be lost, then the player would not be able to play without their uniforms.)
It is suggested that the other suitcase be a small size one that can be checked through.  (Delta limit per passenger is one carryon, and one suitcase not more than 50 lbs.)
Suggested packing list:
Make sure students take cash to cover cost of lunches and dinners each day.  Breakfast is included at our hotel.  Take Passport!      (We have the notary documents you turned in, and we will bring these to the airport.)
In Carryon/Backpack: 2 soccer uniforms, sports undergarments, 1 pair of cleats, socks, shin guards (these are required in order to play; all students must bring their own shin guards.)
In Small suitcase:     Extra cleats, extra regular socks,  extra sports spandex undergarments, sports bras (girls), Crocs or sandals, jeans, t shirts, shorts, sleep attire, personal items, sports water bottle, bathing suit, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses.  Crocs or sandals are a very important item to bring as we will be playing multiple games in a short period of time and players will need to get out of their cleats and into crocs/sandals after games to help prevent/minimize blisters.
Medicines:  If a student takes any medications on a regular basis, or you are sending some with them to have on hand “in case” please put these into a Ziploc bag with the student’s name.  Please include a card inside listing dosage and frequency.
Student Athletes: 34 total, 17 from Boys Team, 17 from Girls Team
Chaperones : Erinn Magee, Angelica Vaccaro, Joanne Wiskowski, Coach Gough, Coach Duprey,  Coach Rios, and Nicole Stump.
